Dana Shihadah
Dana Shihadah is a director, cinematographer and colorist based in Los Angeles whose work includes documentaries, narrative films, music videos, and commercials. From comedy to horror, drama to avant-garde, Dana’s work spans a wide range of genres. Their personal work has landed them awards from Best Director to Jury Best Cinematography and included in The Hollywood Reporter’s “10 Best Films of SXSW 2018” for their feature film cinematography debut “Pet Names”.
While visuals are their fuel, the human connection and collaboration are the road map that has kept Dana working in the film industry for over a decade. Born in the American Midwest and raised in the Middle East, Dana views their background as a key influence for how they work with people today, giving them a natural attitude of flexibility, empathy, and confidence. Dana’s unconventional upbringing has offered them a unique lens for artistic approach, which can be witnessed in any of their work; graceful, attentive, and courageously human.
